Annie’s Cottage is charming and characterful with one bedroom, exposed flint walls, beams and an inglenook fireplace. The cottage can accommodate up to 3 guests in the bedroom with an additional portable bed which is perfect for small families. There is also a bed settee in the sitting room which can sleep additional guests.
Annie's Cottage is situated on a country road, at the edge of a village, within 4 miles of the coast. The kitchen in this lovely cottage is fully equipped with granite style work surfaces, a sink, electric hob, fan oven and grill, microwave, toaster, fridge with icebox, and a washing machine/tumble dryer, so you can stay as long as you like! And, it also has lots of character with an exposed flint and stone wall.
The sitting room has 3-foot-thick walls and deep set windows, a large inglenook fireplace incorporating an original baker's oven and beams. And because of the thickness of the walls, this room stays lovely and cool on hot summer days, but keeps the heat in on cold winter ones.
The lovingly refurbished ground floor bathroom has a shower over the top which is remotely controlled, so you can select the temperature and pressure even before you get in. The mirror above the sink is rather large with lights all the way around, and additional mood lighting underneath. The bathroom is usefully situated between the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs sitting room, which is great if you have additional guests sleeping on the bed settee.
The upstairs bedroom has a romantic feel with sloping ceilings and bay windows. The king size bed with a super king size duvet and generous walk in wardrobe, gives this surprisingly large and characterful bedroom a feel of luxury. There is also a double socket with a usb port for guests to be able to re-charge their phones easily.
The cottage has a lovely seating area to the front, which catches the sun from late morning till late afternoon. It's perfect for alfresco dining or relaxing whilst watching the wildlife. However sometimes this seating area has to be moved in early spring, due to a lovely little robin who occasionally makes her nest in the letterbox next to the front door. She seems quite happy for guests to use the front door, but doesn't like sharing the letter box with postman, so he has to find somewhere else to put the letters!
And finally, being able to park outside the cottage or in the spacious private courtyard, and in the summer under the lovely cool shade of the tall trees, adds to the pleasure and ease of staying in this chocolate box style cottage.
And finally, the price of the cottage varies depending on the time of year. The price is currently set for the summer, so please enquire for an exact price for spring, autumn and winter.
