Perfect Location and Great Privacy
My stay was excellent at the Hawthorne Hideaway. The neighborhood was pleasantly quiet and the bed decently firm. The quiet night of sleep was even better considering how close it is to numerous restaurants and shops. The kitchenette and bathroom were well equipped and the overall furnishings nice. There is a ton of natural light with some great skylights. Street parking was close and easy too. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling with a partner or solo.

Charming unit for 2
Very clean and comfortable. There was no coffee and cream as was listed. Only had one roll of single ply toilet paper. Did not have enough toilet paper for stay. Please upgrade toilet paper to two ply. It would be nice to have dish towels in the kitchen and hand towels in the bathroom. Bath towels need to be replaced. Close to restaurants and bars. Appreciated driveway parking.

Heart of Hawthorne
Lovely launching pad for a Portland and area adventure. Lots of places within walking distance and short public transit downtown. For a single open space, it felt very roomy, and the side covered porch was a nice extension. We had all the amenities we needed, and street parking was never an issue. Highly recommended for an individual or couple wanting to feel like a local in the awesome Hawthorne neighbourhood.

Great spot
Vert nice place, exactly as advertised. Conveniently located in SE near a lot of amenities but still very quiet. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I was only confused that it advertised off-street parking right in front of the property but there was always a car in the driveway seemingly blocking the way unless you wanted to drive on the neighbor’s lawn to get by. That said, there was plenty of streets parking on a very quiet street right out front.

Lovely neighborhood. Lots of light.
Small, but efficient space and everything feels fresh and new. The whole wall of windows and sliding doors in the kitchen/living room area open it up and let in lots of light. Hosts (via VRBO messaging) were very understanding when we accidentally broke one of their plastic deck chairs. Step-in shower is a big help for people with some mobility issues. (Note to hosts: a couple hand olds would be nice.) For 2, it was an easy place to stay for a few nights.

Fab spot in a cozy neighborhood
Fabulous little space located within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shops. Had all of the elements you need for cooking a quick meal, hanging out on the patio or just relaxing on the comfy couch. The space and the neighborhood is super quiet and felt right at home once I was there. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to explore Portland
We were very lucky to find this spot in Portland. It's located in a perfect neighborhood to explore Portland. The place is very comfortable, cozy, and quiet. Everything was very smooth and easy.

Great studio
This is a clean and comfortable place. Even though it's a studio, it doesn't feel cramped. The bed is partially concealed behind a shelf so it almost feels like a full bedroom. It's modern, energy efficient, etc. Being that it's behind a gate in back of a larger house it's secluded and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet too. Within just a couple of blocks, you can walk to stores, restaurants, etc. which makes for a nice stroll. I was happy to find that it has a full kitchen. Range, microwave, lots of utensils, and even a dishwasher! You often don't find that in studios. I have only one small compliant. The property management firm asks that you text them when you leave, but they didn't clearly list the phone # in the house manual. The listing is on VRBO, but the managers are at another company. I tried texting VRBO, but there were problems with the app. (Monday morning, when computers tend to go down). It was a little irritating trying to get through to them, and I don't like departure delays.

Good location in Hawthorn. Near stores, restaurants ect. Seems newer and modern. Like the high ceilings and large shower. Bed was comfortable. Area is quiet. Overall great experience

The hideaway was stylish, clean, and in a nice location. Cuter than the pictures. We could have used more bath towels and a drying rack, and it would have been nice to have had instructions regarding recycling in the book, but no other issues.

Great location and super responsive host
This backyard rental is perfectly located near good restaurants and shops on Hawthorn Blvd. But it’s incredibly quiet! Birdsong awoke us each morning, and the back garden is a great, quiet place to start the day. The hosts are responsive within minutes of communication. All in all, this was a great find.

Beautiful home in great location!
We loved our stay here! Though the home is located just one block away from Hawthorne St. - where there is an eclectic mix of wonderfully cool coffee shops, restaurants and stores, it was very quiet and set on nice residential street marked with beautiful craftsman style homes. Although there is ample street parking, we appreciated the convenience of having exclusive use of the private driveway fronting our home (which is a freestanding ADU unit toward the rear of the property). Inside, the home was modern and clean and well-stocked with toiletries, towels, dishes, utensils and cookware - everything needed to feel right at home. Lastly, the host / management timely responded to my inquiries, and were helpful and friendly in their responses. I would definitely book again when I find myself back in Portland. Mahalo!
