'Hotel owners, both husband and wife and their staff were really helpful and friendly. Property is really well maintained with diverse flowering plants and villa room we stayed in is very spacious and clean. Even though it is still the wet season, temperature was really pleasant and A/C wasn’t needed to sleep well. Very peaceful environment and walking distance to town square. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to getaway and relax.'

'Everything was perfect. The room had everything we expected. Having a washer and dryer was a super bonus. (If they sold individual cleaning pods on site that would have been convenient but we just purchased a small amount of laundry soap at the local Maxi Pali which was just down the road from our location.) Breakfast daily included was amazing. Fantastic food! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Jaco.'

'Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing '
