'Took our two boys and they loved the grounds. The indoor pool was a bit cold, only thing that let the day down, ow, the rooms are really warm even with the a/c you can only turn to 16 degrees but I don’t think that’s actually a true reflection of the temperature. It was only April and the kids slept without covers. I dread to know that those rooms feel like in the summer months.'

'I treated my mom to a weekend away at New Forest last weekend and we stayed at Cottage Lodge Hotel - the room was amazing, super clean and fantastically maintained. The hosts were super sweet and kind. The breakfast was exceptional!! A lot of information for routes around the forest and information for the village and nearby towns. We both look forward to returning back - I really can’t recommend this place enough. We loved absolutely everything!'

'Really comfortable rooms especially the bed. I travel a lot for work and this is one of the most comfortable beds I have found in a hotel. Nice location in the New Forest. Food was great although I did not get to try the breakfast as it did not start until 8.30 which is a bit too late for a business traveller.'

'Quaint cottage and staff were polite. The room we stayed in was nice and bright. There was a very bad damp problem in the en suite especially above the shower, not just on the ceiling but the shower sealant was all black and the bottom of the shower door had not even been cleaned of all the mould. 'Ideally placed for the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth, we stayed 1 night while visiting the New Forest. We were made to feel welcome, which instantly made us relaxed. The room was clean, well decorated, the bed was comfortable. The bed linen and towels felt luxurious. The weekend breakfast was excellent, we started with fresh fruit and yoghurt (cereals were also on offer) then had a full English which was cooked to perfection using good quality ingredients. '
