Tallahatchie Townhouse | Downtown ON the Tanglefoot

This jewel sits ON the Tanglefoot Trail in New Albany, Mississippi. Downtown restaurants and bars, coffee shops, and boutiques are very short (0.4 mi.) stroll up the Tanglefoot Trail! This single family home (not a duplex) has been exquisitely restored to its original outside character and beautifully renovated and decorated on the interior. Vist Ole Miss and Elvis' birthplace in neighboring towns of Oxford and Tupleo, or visit William Faulkner's birthplace and museum in New Albany!

The space
The Tallahatchie Townhouse is designed with a contemporary interior but still carries the old charm on the exterior. The yard that surrounds the entire home with parking for 2-3 cars in the front and parking for 1 car on the side pad. Plus, additional parking in the back, if needed. The entire property is very spacious and open. Included in your stay is complimentary access to Netflix, Smart TVs in all bedrooms & living room, and the only listing in New Albany that is located ON the Tanglefoot Trail. Enjoy a glass of wine, or just relax, on the spacious front porch or back yard.
Guest access
Guest are permitted to access and enjoy all areas of the house. Parking in New Albany is abundant, so you can park and walk around the Downtown area during your stay or easily drive anywhere in New Albany. It's very easy to get around!

Like most other Airbnbs in New Albany, the Tallahatchie Townhouse is located in a developing neighborhood. Since the development of the Tanglefoot Trail, there has been a lot of growth in the neighborhood. Our caretakers live next door, and we have several other properties in the neighborhood. So, you may see some houses and buildings under re-developement.

If you're looking to move to New Albany, there is a very nice, new development across the Tanglefoot Trail and to the right (if you're standing on the front porch of the Tallahatchie Townhouse).

My friend and i each had a bedroom and bathroom. There is a nice seating area for visiting. Some creamer and sweeteners for the coffee would have been great.

The property was advertised as listed online. Clean place and very cozy for a stay away from home. The entire townhouse was very tidy and the bedrooms were very spacious with comfortable bedding and mattresses. Host was very responsive in request.

Adorable Charm!
We spent an overnight at this charming house while traveling with elderly parents. Clean with cute decor and good space in the main bedroom, the second bedroom at the back of the house is smaller and best suited for children. Bathrooms are spacious and water pressure is great! loved that the host supplied the coffee maker with pods and other coffee amenities! Close to downtown New Albany and access to the walking trail.

Wonderful Cottage close to a quaint little town
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage on our roadtrip. The cottage was well furnished, stocked, very clean, and had plenty of parking for our two vehicles and even a uhaul trailer. We drove the mile down the road and found a fantastic little restaurant with great food and live music. This will be our go to place when we are traveling through Mississippi on our way to Alabama.

Just a sweet little property. Very very clean. Walking distance to downtown. 2sisters diner is a must for breakfast a 5 minute drive from the house. Very quiet area. Comfortable beds. We had Drinks on the porch in the evening and watched the lightning bugs. We had coffee on the porch in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful!
The home was absolutely perfect for my son and I to relax and enjoy some time together while registering him for classes at BMC. It is stocked with everything we could need and so perfectly decorated. It felt cozy and I didn’t want to go home! It is close to everything in town and wish we had more time to experience the trail and shops in town. I certainly look forward to returning with my husband throughout the year! Sarah was quick to respond and a great host! We will definitely be back!

Charming country house
The property was easy to find. It is an “on-site” location, meaning near shops and walking trail. Comfortable accommodations, all amenities in place. The shower was very nice - strong water flow, nice shower head. Bedding, decor, lighting, number of outlets were spot on. The porch and backyard were charming also. We had a great time, and plan on a return visit sometime.

The Tallahatchie Townhouse was great !! It was absolutely everything we needed. The Condition, cleanliness - Great !! The LOCATION right on the Tanglefoot trail and a 5 minute walk to the lovely downtown- wonderful !!When I discovered that it was a 115 year old “section house” from the railroad days, this made GREAT, AWESOME!!! TALLAHATCHIE TOWNHOUSE
This is the cutest place, it's more roomier than pictures show. Birds chirping and peaceful. Host SARAH was great! Very nice lady and most accommodating. Easy to find. Not far from Walmart and a host of places to eat. 3 ladies over 77 and one 54 years old. Can't tell you how much we enjoyed staying at TALLAHATCHIE TOWNHOUSE. Even took a day to tour GRACELAND, a little over an hour away. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

Sarah, the host was very attentive to communication and provided me information before I even asked. I especially liked that every nightstand had power strips so that charging is convenient for multiple devices. Super clean! Wonderful place to stay in New Albany
We enjoyed staying at this property. We were there for a longer term of 3 months. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook on a daily basis. There was a tv in the common area and each bedroom which was nice as there were 3 of us that liked to watch different shows. The design of the house looks exactly like the pictures and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. Having an in-unit laundry room was very helpful. There were a few issues with the appliances including the fridge, washer, dryer, and stove. However, the hosts were quick to respond and resolved the issues in a timely manner. I would definitely stay here again if I came to visit.

Wonderfully updated house right next to the Tanglefoot Trail
Absolutely lovely two-bedroom fully renovated house that has the Tanglefoot Trail literally in the front yard. We loved the comfortable beds, the updated interior, and the location. Close enough to walk downtown if you want or you are just a few minutes from several different dining establishments. Will definitely stay here again.

My sister and I took a girl’s trip to New Albany to shop for antiques and experience the Historic District. The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The remodel was very well done while the home maintained its original character. The owner was attentive and accommodating without being intrusive. Directions, check-in and out were seamless. Will definitely be back!

Great Weekend Stay
My wife, daughter, one of her friends, and I stayed at this home for two nights for an Ole Miss football game. The location was close enough (~45 min) to Oxford to make getting to and from the game a breeze. New Albany’s cute downtown was also extremely close to the home. If staying for a longer time it would have been nice to check out the area more. The home itself has a lot of character. Both bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were well stocked. . We also enjoyed the YouTubeTV in both rooms and living area. We plan to stay here again when in the area.

The BEST!!!
My friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend and we're BLOWN away from the start. So clean, so well decorated, and the owner was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly responsive and friendly. We will stay here everytime we visit the Tanglefoot Trail!
