Rushland is a detached bungalow situated in a quiet spot close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the stunning beaches and scenery of South Pembrokeshire. It is in Ludchurch, a small village, and is an eight minute drive from the nearest beaches at Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth. Rushland is tastefully decorated, and is at the end of an unmade, no-through lane, with farmland behind, and parking for at least three cars.
Rushland has two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. There is a bathroom with toilet, bath, handbasin and shower, and a cloakroom with toilet and hand basin. It is comfortably and stylishly furnished with laminate or tiled floors with rugs throughout. The spacious, double aspect lounge with leather sofas has sliding doors leading out to the patio, while the fitted kitchen with a conservatory style dining room is a lovely spot to sit overlooking the garden. French doors open with two steps down to the large paved patio, and a good sized, enclosed, lawned garden with sheltered hedging provides an ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco meal or summer barbecue. There is also lawn to the front giving more space for children to play. The garage houses a full size table football as well as some outdoor children's toys, and also a tumble drier, sun loungers etc.. There is a good selection of DVDs, games, jigsaws and books, both for adults and children; two televisions, a hard-drive TV recorder and Bluetooth speaker/radio/CD player.

Rushland is very conveniently located. On its doorstep are the sandy beaches at Amroth and Wiseman's Bridge, and the National Trust Colby Gardens. The pretty village of Saundersfoot with its large sandy beach, assortment of shops, pubs and restaurants is just a 10 minute drive away, and the family attractions of Oakwood Theme Park, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton Country Sports Park and Folly Farm are also nearby. The pretty market town of Narberth (6 minute drive) with its exclusive boutique style shops, antique centres and deli is well worth a visit, as is the lovely seaside town of Tenby, where boat trips can be made to the interesting islands of Caldy and Skomer. A 30 minute drive takes you to the historic town of Pembroke with its impressive castle, and beyond that are the Bosherston lily ponds and the stunning beach of Freshwater West, where the last Harry Potter movie was filmed. The smallest city in Britain, St. David's, with its medieval cathedral and bishop's palace is also within easy reach.

Rushland is a lovely holiday base from which to explore this beautiful area.

Een fijn en ruim vakantiehuis
Wij hadden een heel prettig verblijf in dit ruime en comfortabele huis, dat van alle gemakken was voorzien. De ligging ten opzichte van de plaatsen aan de kust was prima en in Kilgetty (nog geen 10 minuten met de auto) zit een voortreffelijk Indisch restaurant. 1 minpuntje: het verraderlijke afstapje vanuit de serre naar het terras.

Not as expected
Unfortunately a lot of the walls had mold and mildew on them. There was a lot of dampness and water mainly around walls and near windows. The long rugs rucked up and were trip hazards especially as I have a visual impairment so we had to roll them up and store them for the duration. The description mentioned jacuzzi bath but this didn't work. I booked this property because of the "pet friendly" and "large garden" description. Unfortunately I missed a previous review stating the garden wasn't secure. So unfortunately we couldn't let our dog out in the garden off lead. This was very disappointing. But as the review was from September I would have thought these repairs may have been dealt with. Needs a proper fence to the rear not just a bit of wire. Yes you have to be in keeping with the natural area but even a 4ft fence wouldn't detract from the natural beauty but would keep dogs safe.

We booked this property mainly because it had a large enclosed garden for our dog. Unfortunately when we arrived and checked garden before letting dog out we could see that the wire fencing was not in a suitable state to keep the dog in, it was pushed down and not erect and in need of repair..so we could not let the dog use the garden all week unless on a lead,not really very relaxing, very dissapointed..This was at the end of the garage where wheelbarrow is kept..

I’m disabled so I found it difficult some days getting comfortable as I have a lot of pain with fibromyalgia,but if you’re fit and abled you would be fine we,took 4 dogs and I thank the owners for that as there are not a lot of accommodations will do that ,it was a beautiful bungalow with on sunny nights you can’t fault the patio and the way the way the way the patio doors was set up ,dogs loved the large field garden very pleased stay over all

Lovely dog friendly property in quiet location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was quiet, spacious and comfortable with a large garden, patio and table football in the garage. Great for the dogs. Property was clean and tidy but could perhaps do with a refresh of the bathroom and I think it might be a tad damp in winter. The bedrooms were good in size and comfortable as was the lounge with a nice TV with Netflix along with a selection of games and films for wetter days. Great location - there is no pub in Ludchurch but plenty close by - and only 5 mins drive to Amroth beach and less than 15 mins to Saundersfoot. Loads of walking and cycling trails on the doorstep. An excellent stay despite quite poor weather during out visit.

Our family of five had a great time in this bungalow. It has everything you need, is spacious enough to survive a rainy day with kids, and situated perfectly to explore Pembrokeshire in different directions.

AMAZING GET AWAY
We had a lovely week in Ludchurch the bungalow was immaculate and thank you for the wine. Rushmore very home from home my two little dogs had a great time in the garden very enclosed i think they thought it was a park. Well worth a visit beaches on the doorstep Wiseman beach a favourite with my dogs very quiet had a great time playing. I will definately be returning you must visit the boars head lovely food and reasonably priced. Host communication was great. Couldn't have asked for a better relaxing week 5*

Great location for our annual holiday with our dogs
We loved the location for our first exploratory trip to Pembrokeshire. Fabulous beaches, weather was changeable but that's how it is! Property was comfortable and mostly met our expectations. The shower was very unpredictable often changing from cold to hot and was more of a dribble then a proper torrent. That said the property was clean and comfortable, the garden is a great space but unfortunately wet and muddy in places (dog paw issue!) but we appreciated the use of the dog towels. Freshwater West and Marloes beaches were absolutely fabulous for dog walks and more locally Coppet Hall Beach walking to Wisemans Bridge and Penally/Tenby South provided plenty of running ground for our dogs. Communications with Peter and Lynne were exemplary. Thank you.

Just what was needed
This was the perfect getaway after so many months of zero travel. The owners were great and the communication was on point. The area itself is perfect for long walks and cycling for the whole family if you don't mind a few hills here and there, always good to get the blood flowing. The accommodation ticked all the boxes, the only things that needed a little more attention was the shower but all in all, happy to stay here again. Thank you Peter.

Home from home in beautiful countryside.
Well equipped, spacious and comfortable bungalow in a lovely quiet setting at the end of a lane. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, from a weighing scale to a garlic press! The Wifi worked well throughout the property and we were able to use the app on the TV to login to our Amazon Prime account which was handy. Lovely garden with sun all day, we had good weather and enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the birds. There are some nice walks around the village and we enjoyed trips out in the car to explore the beaches.

A Brilliant Holiday Home
I have nothing but praise for this holiday home. It really felt like home from home. The countryside around the property meant it was perfect for dog walks and also easy access to the beach. The owners were wonderful. They were extremely helpful. The bungalow is in excellent condition and we were very comfortable.

Absulutely Loved our stay
We had a fantastic honeymoon week in the bungalow. Lovely restful location. Everything and MORE we needed. Great place to stay and close to most places of interest. Also loved all the birds in the garden and the pheasants paid a visit to front garden most days.. The large private garden is so relaxing. Well recomended.
