'From the outside, the Snelling makes the Bates Motel look like Disneyland. But actually I am completely satisfied with what I got for what I paid. The room was clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was clean and adequately stocked and the shower worked. There was a fridge and some complimentary bottled water. The office staff is very friendly. 'The Aloft is a great place to stay in downtown Minneapolis. It is handy to great restaurants and venues. I was struck by how sincerely friendly and helpful the front desk staff were. The bartender is excellent and also friendly. Cheerful, festive decor for the holidays.'
