« The Ocean View Retreat was exactly that. Perfectly located near beach, restaurants and nature hikes. Wonderfully appointed and stocked. Comfortable beds. Powerful showers. Multiple gathering spots in the home. Great deck with ocean views for morning coffee and evening appetizers. Sarah's communication was prompt, helpful and welcoming. Very pleased. »

« It is an old but cute house. Host was very generous, allowed to us to use anything in their house we needed, Including anything from their pantry, their kayak, bicycle etc.Beach was on walking distance but for viewing only. »

« Excellent house - beautiful views. Rented flat downstairs - you can hear them walk around but the same probably applied to us for them from us walking upstairs! Close to the town centre - you can walk or an easy 2 minute drive. 4 levels in the home so not suitable for anyone unable to use stairs. Spa is amazing. Plenty of towels. Kitchen had everything you need. Stores in cupbaord need clearing out. 2 x wardrobes unable to use - one locked - other one has owners belongings. Communication was...

« The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. « This place is great! But Bookabatch has absolutely terrible customer service! Book this property directly with Bachcare, they are still based in NZ and don't have customer service call centres based overseas. We tried to change our booking and it was virtually impossible as their app doesn't work! They don't reply to their emails and their call centre said they would call back, they never did. Luckily I was able to go through Bachcare and they sorted it eventually. »
