Lovely, but needs a little love
We had a great 5 days in Marseille to watch the rugby world cup and explore the local area. Marseille has many things to offer and is easy to get around. The accommodation is located outside the city in a quiet neighborhood, which suited us fine. The bus and metro are easy to get to and about a 10 min walk which was good as we didn't have a car. The accommodation itself is a separate building to the main house and fully self-contained. Our host was very welcoming and made it easy to check in after a long day of travel, however could not meet us in person but this was not a problem. Our impression of the property was that either it was not in regular use or was about to undergo refurbishment, we couldn't work that out but went for not used regularly. The apartment needs some attention and definitely doesn't match the photos in the description, and we feel that the price should have reflected this! There were no floor coverings with bare plaster showing all over! Quite a few lights did not work. The shower had no door, but a make shift one held together by clips. The shower head holder was broken which needed you to hold the head to have a shower. The kitchen was small but functional, however again lacking in attention. Only 1 breakfast bowl was present and only 3 sets of eating utensils. The garden and pool are extensive but again needs attention and in general disrepair. All this didn't stop us having a great time though as we were out a lot.

Le logement est confortable et propre sans être luxueux mais largement compensé par la terrasse bien équipée, la mise à disposition de la grande propriété avec des installations ludiques et l'accessibilité directe à la piscine très agréable depuis la maison. La présence des propriétaires est pratiquement invisible et Gaelle est charmante Location parfaite pour une famille avec 2 enfants et un petit chien qui laisse de très bons souvenirs de vacances d'été..

Nous sommes arrivés le samedi et n'avons pu voir la propriétaire que le lundi soir. La maison n'etait pas très propre, le jardin à l'abandon et la piscine vraiment sale. Nous avions réservé pour une semaine, mais nous sommes partis le mardi matin, dégoûtés.

great place in beautiful wild garden
This is a great place, located in a beautiful wild garden, with pool (27°C+ water temperature in May), soccer field, great for families with kids, only the play ground is not realy usable. We had several problems with the bath room sink that were half-solved by the owner during our stay so it was usable. In general: a very beutiful place with very friendly hosts, very much recommended.

We had a wonderful time and Gaelle was very helpful in everything. The location was great too. There are a couple of things that have to be mentioned though. WiFi was not available in the rented house - the description didn't address this. It said WiFi was available. My husband has an important job and we were there for almost one month. Gaelle was very accommodating to us going to her house and use the Internet. Still, this is something that's all right for a couple of days but not for the long time we were there. If we had known this we would have made some arrangements. The shower has no doors and we are not small people so that was tricky. The house is correct, the beds comfy - the sleeper sofa ok for a young child. I think it's only fair to other renters that I mention these things. WiFi was a big issue for us.

Calm and easy
Rustic house with a fantastic garden. Swimming pool was great and shade always available from the many trees around the pool. Great to have table tennis and basketball too for evening games with the children when the heat was less. Close to Marseille for easy day trips but felt miles away when sitting in the peaceful garden. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Un oasis magnifique et paisible dans la métropole
Gaelle et sa famille sont merveilleux de chaleur et de compréhension, le cadre du jardin et des équipements pour les enfants et moins jeunes sont rares, et tout ce calme à proximité des commodités et des lieux touristiques. Havre de paix aux portes de Marseille
Accueil très chaleureux de Gaëlle la propriétaire. Le logement contient toutes les commodités. La literie est confortable. Quelques renovations dans la salle de bain seraient un plus. Côté extérieur, tout le charme opère : piscine, immenses palmiers, jardin verdoyant, table de Ping pong , terrain multisport, et surtout un calme absolu. Un endroit parfait pour passer d’excellentes vacances.
