'At this price point the hotel are advised to review the standard of their bathrooms, bed pillows and mattresses. All of these things let down what otherwise was a very pleasant hotel. First class service from the staff and excellent breakfasts were the undoubted highlights. '

'Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, the wash basin was cracked, the furniture was chipped, and the decor very tired the several areas of the property needed decorating and maintenance especially the ceiling in the lounge which was very stained with a water leakage. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful.'

'We had a very pleasant stay for a week with no room for complaint at all. Everything was first-rate; location, cleanliness, equipment, the lot. True, there is no door between the two rooms on the upper floor but that can be advantageous for a family with younger children. Being two couples, it was perfect with bedroom and bath on each separate floor. The hostess, Melissa, was very helpful indeed. We can certainly recommend Ludlow and this part of Shropshire. //two couples from Stockholm, Sweden.'
