'Pleasant staff, nice room and excellent breakfast. The area is very quiet and the hotel has ample parking - very useful in a mediaeval town like Ludlow. It's only a few minutes walk into the town centre with its characterful pubs and historic building.'

'Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, the wash basin was cracked, the furniture was chipped, and the decor very tired the several areas of the property needed decorating and maintenance especially the ceiling in the lounge which was very stained with a water leakage. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful.'

'We had a very pleasant stay for a week with no room for complaint at all. Everything was first-rate; location, cleanliness, equipment, the lot. True, there is no door between the two rooms on the upper floor but that can be advantageous for a family with younger children. Being two couples, it was perfect with bedroom and bath on each separate floor. The hostess, Melissa, was very helpful indeed.
