The way my friends/customers were treated at check in by this hotel is just criminal. AND the very worst thing is that this Marriott Regents Park plays this trick on many customers.
The reservation had been made and payment was to be made at the hotel. After a stressful journey, the family arrived at the hotel. Check in and rested briefly in the room, before they were to see London for the first time. However, no key before payment was in order. Fine, however, their bank cards would not work, the receptionist informed them. "You guys should just contact your bank"
They did this and their bank assured them that everything was fine with the credit and debit cards and that no payment had been attempted from a Marriott in the UK. Strange.
The receptionist then forced them to withdraw money from the ATM in the lobby, which, due to a very bad exchange rate, made them pay €200 more for 3 hotel nights than stated on the booking confirmation. And they pull this trick on as many guests as possible. Without any excuse or compensation. So think carefully before booking this hotel! And if you do, don't be fooled.
Room ok, breakfast too (there is only sandwich bread and pastries, no hard rolls) furthermore enough choice
