Very clean, with newer appliances and a wonderfully stocked kitchen in terms of pots, pans etcWe loved the Hilo area, and having coffee outside on the lanai in the morning as the whales woke and played; just what we hoped for. Nice quiet neighborhood, but close to town. Highly recommend! '

'House was beautiful, spacious and well stocked with everything you need to your stay, including beach chairs and boogie boards (we did not need them this trip but was nice to have available). It is an older home but is well cared for with some updates. We had a very lovely, comfortable stay. '

'This house felt like coming home. The attention to detail is top notch. Appreciated the welcome basket. There's a separate parking space for you to use. House is on a side street, no issues with street noise. You will hear coqui (frogs sounding like birds) at night, which can get quite loud. Don't let that stop you from staying here though, because you won't be able to escape it anywhere in Hilo anyway and this house is really fabulous. Bonus: earplugs are provided for those that want them....

The home was incredibly roomy, with plenty of space for our group, and we appreciated all the modern appliances and thoughtful amenities provided. The quiet neighborhood made it a perfect place to relax, and the location was excellent—close to local businesses, fantastic restaurants, and easy access to outdoor activities. This rental truly exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it...

If you want a home away from the tourists you are right. Awaiting luxury and quietness, go in a hotel. It’s a normal neighborhood with chicken, dogs and everything else. 'We stayed at this property for the Hilo portion of our big island trip. We had 2 kids, 3 adults and the house was perfect. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots pans, storage containers, etc. I was impressed with the quality of kitchen ware. Note: there is no dishwasher, but it was not too much of a hardship to hand wash uo the few dishes we used.The collection of beach supplies was appreciated. Including snorkeling gear, boogie boards, towels, chairs, etc. '
