Property is beautiful, on the Winnipeg River, very private. I am only giving the overall rating of 4 because of the price. For that money I expected excellence. For example our little grandchild got a few slivers off the deck. We tried to keep her in shoes but 2 year olds have a mind of their own. It rained quite a bit so everything outside seem to leak. The downstairs enclosed deck had water pouring in several times. The eaves weren’t connected properly so water rushed all over the main deck. The dock access was flooded so it was very slippery walking out to the dock. My wife only went on the dock once or twice cause the walk out was dangerous. On our own we figured out that If we brushed the boards under water it removed most of the slim so we could walk better. I find I am too old to get into the canoe to paddle the short distance to the dock. All of this we realize was beyond our hosts control as the river water is just so high everywhere.
Inside s very nice, beds are great, each family had an entire floor to themselves. The dish washer is not attached to the cupboard as it should be. No problem for me, I just kept adjusting it to fit but some of my family complained as it would tilt the tray out, almost on the floor.
Water toys are great. We had a lot of fun with the paddle board abound kayaks, thanks for that. The garage was great on rainy days for our son and grandson to play a little indoor soccer. Unfortunately they found a cockroach, but only one so I see why the hosts ask us to remove garbage regularly.
The new toilet/bidet was a big hit. You won’t find that in many places.
In short the accommodations are great but for the price it needs a bit of TLC in spots, like vinyl flooring on the deck and a few outside finishes.
Maryjane was very helpful, only a quick text away.
