'Friendly and helpful staff. Cheap parking. Great breakfast. A/C & heating was not obvious to control to heat heat and would often switch entirely off even while we were in the room. Evening food was a bit disappointing.'

'The street you stay on has permit holder parking so as stated free parking is not available, Asked numerous times for a receipt for my stay but no communication. House was a typical terraced house suitable for business in the local area but not as a holiday base in my opinion.'

'Very modern, clean room, perfect for my 1-night business trip. No restaurant or breakfast available but close to town. Staff excellent and helped address a booking error on my part, without charge. Would stay again if in the area. '

'Lovely hotel with an amazing range of Whisky. Breakfast was really good and decent portions. If you can, book dinner while staying here, as it's delicious and nicely leads into some whisky tasting. Emiko was a fantastic host. Very attentative and provided some great guidance on local walks and restaurants.'

'Really enjoyed it and it’s in a good location for pubs and for the bus out. The room was clean, however sofa isn’t comfortable and neither is the bed, leaving no comfort whatsoever which would have been nice when your tired travelling around the lakes. The light from the emergency exit also made it really hard to sleep. The key for the door needs fixing. It took us atleast 5 minutes everytime to get in, I believe the key is twisted but needs replacing. Overall I think it’s worth the money...

'Despite having experienced a fire, which affected the central heating, I found the owners very accommodating in supplying alternative heating. They were very friendly and did their best to make my stay as comfortable as possible.'

'We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which...
