Luxe hotels in Hill Country

'I just spent the weekend at the Viata. The grounds were lovely, and our room was spacious with a beautiful view. We rented a cabana and sat by the pool all day on Sunday, which was very relaxing. We hosted a birthday dinner at Laurel one evening, and everyone loved the food. Our dinner guests had easy access to the restaurant and to parking - no stressful drive downtown or struggle to park. We will be back! I highly recommend!'

'Gebouw is prachtig van buiten en binnen. Gezellige bar met 4 lokale bieren op tap en halve prijs tijdens happy hour. Kamer was helaas in er achter gelegen annex. Kamer niet bijzonder, kon willekeurig hotel zijn, helaas geen koffie-apparaat, wel beneden in hal.'

'The location on the river is terrific and provides easy access to trails along the river and to downtown Austin. The staff is well trained , polite and helpful. Prices of rooms, food and parking seem high in relation to other first rate hotels in Austin.'

'After reserving a two night stay, waking up after the first night, the house cook/maid informed us “we missed breakfast” and that we were “late for check out”, upon which we said we had booked 2 nights. She said you better talk to Shawn (the manager, pretty sure her son). He said he “forgot” he had some “inspection” that day “they were selling the property” and we had to leave. (He wouldn’t charge us)… As we were packing up, a group from Florida pulled in that he talked to and got to leave while...

'I was very pleased. The lady at checkin helped secure me a ground level room because of my knee disability and the fact the elevator was not working at the time. She even gave me handicap parking right outside my door. They gentleman checking me out allowed me to keep my car in the parking garage for the morning. '
