« Wonderful stay here, Friday 21st June, 2024. Cosy room, with all the facilities we required. Our room overlooked the river and outside drinking/dining area. This can be noisy, but it’s happy noise, adding to the atmosphere. We stayed one night as we were seeing a band at The Picturedrome, couldn’t be better placed for that. Great central place to stay for any other reason, too. The food we had was gold star stuff in our opinion, we had a dirty burger with sides a plaice with samphire,...

« Nous avons eu la chambre N°1 qui est vraiment agréable avec un grand lit confortable. Idéal pour se reposer après une journée de marche. Le soir nous avons diné à l’hôtel en ayant réservé une table. Nous avons attendu 30 minutes avant que quelqu'un prenne notre commande. Et j'ai été déçu par la nourriture, sans doute que je m'attendais à quelque chose d'une plus grand qualité dans ce genre de cadre. En conclusion c'est un lieu vraiment chouette et typique pour séjourné, mais ma mauvaise...

« Un séjour d'une nuit pour le réveillon du jour de l'An, dans les chambres situées au dessus d'un des quelques pubs du village aurait pu être bruyant, mais non, elles sont bien situées dans une arrière cour. »

« The whole town is very compressed and tight for space. Part of the charm. The rooms at the Nook may not suit some people in terms of access as there are stairs to some of the rooms. Also quite noisy as very near a couple of pubs but if you accept this as part of the surroundings then its great. Room was good, bar and restaurant down stairs with excellent service in the evening and at breakfast. Would go again. »

« Lovely staff and tasty food, nice room although due to being above the pub noisy in the evenings. Mattress too soft and bouncy for my liking. No shop in the lical area »

« Everything was as expected in cleanliness and comfort. The milk for making a drink with in the room was conatined in a fridge on the landing. At least it was fresh milk. »

« Accueil très sympathique, nous n'avons pas dîné à l'hôtel car nous avions rendez-vous ailleurs, mais le menu semblait très bien. Un lit king size plus en fait un atout particulier. Le déjeuner peut être Anglais ou continental. Si nous avions pu rester la journée suivante nous aurions demandé si nous pouvions y passer une nuit supplémentaire. »

« The pub staff were very welcoming,the breakfasts were generous portions and very well cooked.we ate on both evenings and again the meals were very good. The owner who I think was called Laura was extremely helpful with local knowledge about the walking routes that are available and she even let us borrow a map. The area is beautiful and a walkers paradise. We will return to this Inn. »

« A very enjoyable stay in the most amazing surroundings, with a panoramic views. Our room, 3, was small but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, although I would definitely book a room with a view next time, if available. Excellent breakfast and service, sitting in the window enjoying the view. »
