'We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive)....

'Very nice spot with interesting layout. The hot water heater requires an aluminum anode rod, as your mineral mix in the well is most likely high in manganese. The sulfuric stench is such that we didn’t want to use the hot water at all. I read other reviews along the same lines, so it has been brought to the owners attention, yet not remedied. Therefore, we wouldn’t stay again unless it was guaranteed that it has been fixed. '
