Villa's in Faro

'The grounds of the property are beautiful but the interior is quite used and needs to be updated. Furthermore it was advertised as having a heated pool but a few days before our rental was due to begin, I was informed that heating the pool would cost €400 extra. Unfortunately we also had a lot of ants on the paths around the garden and they eventually made their way into the house. Our landlord did try to manage the situation but it was challenging. 'We booked a whole month out of season and had a wonderful time! The villa is large, spacious and very clean. The fact that even my wife thought it was clean says a lot! :-) We enjoyed using the heated pool and the bath tub(s). Also the upper terrace has loads of sunshine which we loved. The beds are also very comfortable, we only needed to get used to the beds being singles but that is a personal preference. There are also tennis courts very close which is especially great if you love playing...

'Our stay was excellent. Warm welcome by the owners Basil and Louisa. On our request a delicious dinner was prepared by Louisa who has her own catering company. The villa with swimmingpool has a beautiful setting in a beautiful area. Communication with Basil and Louisa was very good. 'The villa has a fantastic garden, pool and terrace areas. It is brilliantly located in a quiet street near everything. The rooms are all spacious and the a/c (bedrooms only) works well. The kitchen appliances have been updated. The only criticism is that that the bathrooms are tired and would benefit from being updated but this did not detract from a wonderful family joliday! '

'We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het huis. Het huis is ontzettend ruim en met een gezin met 4 kinderen is dat heel fijn. Alle slaapkamers hebben hun eigen badkamer. Minpunt is dat je voor de airco moet bijbetalen en ook voor het beddengoed. Verder ligt het huis behoorlijk afgelegen en is er weinig vermaak in de buurt. Een prima huis maar voor ons gezin mag de locatie wat levendiger zijn.'

'Overall we enjoyed our trip and this was supported by good accommodation at the villa. The villa manager was very accessible which made things easier for us, we arrived later in the evening and had to pay a late check in fee which I believe should not be compulsory. I had to deal with a few issues regarding our second payment for the villa which should have been taken on the same card as used for the deposit 3 0 days prior to arriving. 'Een schitterend gelegen woning, zeer ruim en zeer goed uitgerust met quasi alle comfort, een zeer aangename en mooi aangelegde buitenruimte en een zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw Jacinta. Enig minpuntje, omdat we aanvankelijk pech hadden met het weer met enkele slechte, koude en regenachtige dagen (11°), is het ontbreken van een verwarmingstoestel vooral dan voor het opwarmen van de badkamer(s). De aanwezige open haard ontsteken is te omslachtig en bovendien duurt het te lang om de volledige woning...

'The villa was lovely, we loved the setting and the views were fantastic. You can walk to several restaurants. We were left a welcome package which was very helpful, but you do definitely need to go to a big supermarket as the two mini-markets did not stock very much especially fresh bread, fruit and vegetables, we would also say that the villa did not have enough towels and they also need to be renewed.'
