Cozy Waterfront Lake House

This adorable 2 bedroom 2 bath lake house is warm and welcoming for family vacations or romantic getaways. It's a great place for boating, jet skiing , swimming, sunbathing, fishing off the 100 ft lit private pier or just simply enjoying nature and the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. There's a BBQ grill for the outdoor chef and fire pit for those chilly nights. Access to the public boat ramp is just minutes away. More information and directions to the public boat ramp are available upon request. This home is just a few minutes from a general store, and close to Mathis, Orange Grove or a short 45 minutes to an hour drive to Corpus Christi and other salt water fishing areas. Property can be pet friendly, upon request

I got a message from the owner that he had some damage and was not going to be able to rent. He said he returned my money and it should show up in my account in a cpl weeks. If he has backed out why do y’all still think I stayed there?

Creepy, worst rental ever
I usually don't post reviews but I wish somebody warned me before renting this. Firstly, this rental is located in a creepy neighborhood/area that makes you think of classic hillbilly horror movies. There is nothing cozy about this cabin as the first and lasting sensation is that you don't belong there and you constantly think about locking the doors behind you. The house was probably built a century ago and the overall look is from the '50s and '60s. It still has incandescent restroom heaters I saw only in the old movies. It smells like a really old unaired house and it was filthy, especially the fridge (still had old chicken package and sauce bottles) and the backyard porch (looked abandoned for years and was full of branches, dead insects, and dust, with some really old broken chairs). The garage and some connected sheds look creepy, so you wouldn't be surprised if a masked Jason shows in the middle of the night in your bedroom. The house creaks and makes awkward noises, so my wife couldn't sleep at all on our first and only night there. The rental should be advertised, "as is" and probably could be rented as a cheap fishing accommodation option. However, we paid more than for a 4 stars for two days but were relieved to leave the next day. I felt scammed and really disappointed that this is still possible on Vrbo. I have plenty of pictures to prove the above but the system doesn't allow uploading them. If you like haunted houses or real life escape rooms, you may enjoy it.

Beautiful location with beautiful views
Robert's place is nice and cozy and the lake views are amazing! There were lots of birds feeding close to the house so I got some awesome photos. The fishing was decent even though the lake was low. Will definitely look into coming back when the water rises! Everyone we met in the area was friendly. We had a great visit!

Amazing Lake View
The view is amazing, day and night. We had great fires and beautiful starry nights. The sounds of nature capped it off nicely. It's nice and secluded. Can't wait to visit again! And the hosts are awesome.

The pictures are an accurate description of the property, located at the mouth of a cove on Largarta Creek coming off of Corpus Christi Lake, great for fishing, boating or just cooking out and watching the gorgeous sunsets.

Great family vacation!
Lots of room for a family of 7. My grandson has lots of fun. The patio is fully enclosed so we felt very safe with him running around. My son spent the entire time fishing. Great scenic view especially from the master bedroom and all around the deck. Nice home away from home. Definitely will be back!

Th name says it all, Cozy Waterfront Lake House. My children and I had a lovely mini spring break visit to get in some fishing and rest and relaxation. The property is in a small remote residential area right on Lake Corpus Christi and is a short 20 minute drive to the State Park. It’s an older house but the location, the view, fantastic deck and amazing customer service from Rob were why we would love to visit again soon.

Peace and Quiet
We were looking for a quiet place to recharge and found it with this home on the lake! There's plenty of room in the house and the deck was a great place to just sit and enjoy the views. My only concern is the age of the deck. We'd like to bring the grandkids next time but I would worry about injuries with boards not being secure. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Quiet Location
I was fortunate to be able to stay for a month. I was looking for A nice quiet location on the water and I found it to be just what I needed. The home is great but showing its age. My contact with Robert was exceptional. He was available anytime I needed him. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for peace and quiet and a great view of Lake Corpus Christi.
