Step back in time and enjoy our historic home in Downtown Nashville!

A RARE OPPUTUNITY TO TAKE RESIDENCE IN A REAL HISTORIC BUILDING.

The restored historic home dates to 1840. The Stagecoach 1840 served as a tollhouse for stagecoaches traveling on the private toll road north of Nashville Jefferson Street for many years. The important period features, original brick exteriors, wood floors, and over six sash windows can be found in this pre-civil war Indiana building; while important modern amenities, full kitchen and one and a half bathrooms makes your stay a comfortable one.

Save on parking. The Stagecoach is a short walk from all the downtown shops, restaurants, and entertainment. It has two bedrooms with one queen bed and one full bed, one full bath and one half bath, a full kitchen with a gas stove, a dining room, and a large living room. Our covered front porch allows guests to relax.

Take time to have fun with a soak in the hot tub, enjoy the firepit, or partake in the fun puzzles, games, Wi-Fi, and Hulu! Your furry friends will have plenty of room to run and play in the large yard.

There is a $75 fee per pet for our pet-friendly properties. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

Absolutely perfect place to stay in Nashville, everything is right there. The cottage was awesome! Hot tub was great, so was the fire pit. It was overstocked with towels, (robes for the hot tub) and everything else you would need.

The location to walk into town was great, that’s where it ends. We had ants in the kitchen, the overall cleanliness was lacking. The couch covers need to be bleached out or replaced. I also didn’t appreciate the tick I found crawling on while on it. Don’t think you will have privacy in the hot tub, picture is misleading, you are wide open to neighbors and the motion sensor light always comes on. I wanted to try the charm of this little house, we left a night early. When I reported the issues with cleaning and the ants their response was the would let maintenance know. Not happy-

Nice to be in town
We had a very comfortable stay. It was as described in the listing. The kitchen had everything we needed, but I didn't notice ahead of time that there isn't a dishwasher (my bad). The Keurig seems to have a little hitch in its processing, but we made it work. There were plenty of soft, fluffy towels, and we appreciated the towels and robes for the hot tub. We loved sitting on the front porch in the afternoons. Given how we watched cars drive back and forth looking for a parking space to open up we realized what a huge advantage it is to be in walking distance to everything in town! It was very nice to have a covered parking spot as well. We used just the one bed in the larger room and the mattress was a little hard for us. The linens were comfortable and it was nice that there were several types of pillows available to choose from. I can give only three stars for cleanliness. It really needs a deep clean. The sofa covers are soiled, the baseboards and doors need cleaning, and all the cracks and crevices in the bathrooms could use a good scrubbing. We enjoyed our time in the Stagecoach Inn and our dogs were excited by the antics of the many grey squirrels!

Cozy. Was a bit concerned about a musty smell when we arrived, but remedied with turning on AC and replacing wall air fresheners. House was furnished nicely and beds were really comfortable. Overall a good experience.

The inside was very nice, but the outside could use some work. The pictures on the website vs. the true outside was very, very different. A lot of overgrown plants, and the fire pit area needed to be cleaned up. The only other note would be to update your check-out list. It states to put dishes in the dishwasher, and there is no dishwasher in the kitchen. Just an FYI. Other than that, we had an amazing time! Thank you!!

Memorial Day weekend getaway
We loved our stay at this historical home. It had so much charm and we loved all the historical details the owners kept when they updated. It was a great location where we could walk everywhere. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch with our dog. The inside was clean. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the outdoor seats in the back and fire pit area need some good deep cleaning to be usable. However, we would definitely stay here again.

My wife & I decided to spend the weekend of our 22nd anniversary in Nashville, IN as we had spent one of our earliest anniversaries there. Check in/check out was very easy. Property was clean, rustic & historically unique to the area. Perfect location for walking about town. Only complaint: the mattress on larger of two beds was absolutely too hard, even after we tried using the comforter & duvet as padding. Second bed was too small for us to sleep on comfortably, so we opted to use the couches on our second night there. Needless to say, we didn’t get any quality sleep the two nights we were there & were exhausted by the time we returned home. The replacement with a new, medium firm mattress should cover the majority of guests’ comfort & would definitely guarantee another reservation from me.
