Wonderful
We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay while on the island. I’m a frequent visitor to Whidbey, but usually stay with family. I wanted something close to them and this listing fit the bill. I’ve never stayed in such a well-appointed place. The house is modern, clean, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. They thought of everything. The owner was responsive to one small issue about the Wi-Fi, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Green Door house.

Luxury Island retreat!

Great getaway
I booked for a friend who came to the island to help celebrate a milestone birthday for me. It was perfect for her. She said it was quaint and modern at the same time and had nice hospitality touches to it. It was quiet and the perfect spot for her to relax when she wasn’t hanging out with us. I would definitely book again.

Cozy cabin in the woods
We love Jim and Nancy’s little cabin in the woods. It’s so cozy and homey. We can feel the love and care they put into this place and appreciate all the little details throughout the home. Our kids love all the art pieces inside and outside of the home. The lights are also a hit with the kids. We will definitely come back and will recommend this place to all of our friends.

Well Appointed and Very Clean Cottage
We loved our stay at "Island Country" cottage. This home is so clean and well stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a comfortable stay on Whidbey Island. From fabulous art to comfortable linens, the home is ready for its guests. All steps, from check-in to check-out, were simple and without incident. We would love to return someday.

A cozy cottage get away
This cottage was so cozy and thoughtfully and artistically put together. We loved it! The photos accurately show what the place looks like in person. The kitchen is impressively well-stocked, the bathroom is too, and the bedrooms have wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows…. The living room is a cozy little space with a well-stocked library and great fireplace. Everything is very clean, fresh, and comfortable, it felt so good being in that space. We lucked out with sunny weather one day of our stay and had the pleasure of sitting on the front deck drinking tea in the sun, it was glorious. Super easy and quick getting to nearby places, and a big thanks for the thoughtful book of recommendations on groceries, places to explore, food places, etc! Village Pizzeria was delicious! Communication with our hosts was great; they were quick to reply and very kind. We highly recommend staying at this cottage!

A wonderful cottage under the redwoods with a large back deck equipped with everything needed for outdoor entertaining. Inside, much thought went into making guest comfortable. Don't think twice about booking the Green Door Cottage!

Great stay at the Green Door
We had a fantastic time staying here! It was in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, but we easily could drive around to various towns on the island - Clinton, Langley, and Freeland being the closest. The kitchen was fully equipped and the house was comfortable if you want to just stay in and read next to the fireplace. The check in and check out process was simple and the owners were very responsive.

A thoughtfully curated, restful place to stay!
My friend and I stayed here for a little getaway, and we immediately fell in love with the place, as soon as we stepped inside. The house is modern/updated but with lovely bohemian decoration touches. The kitchen is fully stocked with almost everything we needed to cook our meals (I did end up buying a bottle of EVOO, but it was totally stocked otherwise); the bathroom is tranquil and clean; the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable and even had fluffy robes, slippers, and a portable fan (I forgot mine, so this was great!!). Really, really thoughtfully stocked and designed. The property is nestled between large trees, and the neighborhood is quiet. I rested very well here and would 100% stay again!

This adorable little house is an oasis for folks wanting to get away from it all. Although on a street with other houses, it's so quiet you could imagine being the only person around. Nicely decorated, its small size is offset by the thoughtful inclusion of super-comfy beds, luxe linens plus other amenities that make staying there a pleasure. We loved its somewhat remote location--just the drive to the house provided wonderful views. Certainly would stay there again.

Best place in the islad
If you are looking for a supe comfortable, nicely decorated full equipped house in a quiet neighborhood just a quick drive from everything this is the place!! The backyard deck with the gas grill is amazing and the front deck with stools to have your morning coffee or an afternoon beer. Jim is the BEST host! You can’t ask for more!
