Tucked away in a serene location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by lush greenery, bushes, occasional wildlife encounters, and nearby bush trails for exploration.
The Space:
Bushland Haven is situated in the peaceful suburbs of Cashmore, just 12 minutes from Portland, which serves as a gateway to the renowned Great Ocean Road. Here, amidst breathtaking natural scenery, guests can indulge in whale watching, recreational fishing, and a variety of outdoor activities.
But, if you are in the mood for an adventure, a scenic drive will take you to Port Fairy. Then, journey through the picturesque Killarney Beach and the delightful Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village before arriving at the vibrant city of Warrnambool.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings, except for the main residence and shed.
To ensure a seamless check-in process for our rental services, kindly make arrangements at least 24 hours in advance. Here are the options available:
- Rent 2 kayaks at $15 each per day.
- Rent surfboards of various sizes at $30 each per day. Please note, that you'll need to arrange your own transportation for the surfboards.

By car:
- 4 hr drive from Melbourne
- 1 hr drive from Warnambool
- 12 mins drive from Portland
- 57 mins drive from Port Fairy. All are accessible by 2WD.
By public transport: Portland has a taxi service but much more reliable to have your own transport
Other Things to Note:
- Pets are allowed by prior notice
- Firewood is available for an extra cost
- Mobile phone reception has weak signals
- Charcoal/over-the-fire BBQ Grill is available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- We have a free-roaming friendly dog that have a loud bark
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban period
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
