The house is attractively furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture and original artworks. Wooden floors throughout the house. Well equipped with everything you might need. There is a small front garden / patio area to sit and enjoy views directly over Grantchester meadows. Large open plan living room / dining room with views over the meadows. Wall mounted heaters individually controlled in each room. Please note, the woodburner is decorative only and not in use.

Grantchester is the ideal base for exploring Cambridge. Situated just 2 miles from central Cambridge, 1 mile from the M11 and A10, perfect for a quiet weekend break, tourists, University alumni, and visiting friends and relatives and also for those wanting access to Addenbrooke's hospital, Astrazeneca and the Science Park.
The village has 4 good pubs, a gin distillery and two cafes. Supermarket, deli, butcher, post office, bakery, chemist within 2 km/1.5 miles.
Come and enjoy time in this friendly, picturesque village, a favourite location for generations of students and townspeople to wander to for it's four wonderful pubs (all serve good food, wine and real ales) or the historic Orchard Tea Rooms. The meadows inspired such spirits as Rupert Brook and Pink Floyd. The great poet Byron lived in the village and bathed at the nearby Bryon's Pool.
Enjoy the scenic rive walk or cycle along Grantchester Meadows 2 miles into central Cambridge. Or drive, take a taxi or the bus. There is a regular bus service. Taxi approx £7-£10 to town centre/railway station.
