'We stayed here in Mid August, 2026. Pluses: Food was good, staff was polite and helpful. Serious minuses: Room was beyond tiny, cramped, poorly ventilated. Wifi was abysmal, on a good day.'

'We got there at 1:30pm after the ferry and it wasn’t the warmest welcome. The staff didn’t even ask our names. We were told to come back for the agreed upon 3pm, with no acknowledgement of the room status or if they were working on it. It left a bad taste. The rest of the stay was fine, but truly we did not feel welcome.'

'Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but it was great. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. Very much enjoyed my stay here.'
