We offer a beautiful BEACHFRONT studio in Penca Beach, a magical, secret, small white sand beach only 25min from Tamarindo. This award-winning beach is recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

The studio is located in 1-acre beachfront property beautifully landscaped with palm and almond trees. Ocean breeze coming right up to the house, which is only 10feet away from the beach. Large sliding doors connect the studio with the terrace and the beach.

Penca beach is located in a quiet bay, just in front of Chocoyas Island where guests can enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddle and snorkeling in glassy calm waters. Truly unique to enjoy privacy, connect with nature and find balance.

This large bright comfortable studio comes fully equipped: kitchen, fridge, A/C, internet and hot water. The property is attended by a local couple that provide 24-hours security and cleaning services.

From our spacious terrace, you can watch brilliant sunsets, have breakfast or enjoy watching the sea at day or night. The terrace is decorated with a beautiful Spanish style fountain.

Penca beach has obtained 8 years in a row the award of "Blue Flag Beach", a recognition given to the cleanest beaches of Costa Rica. Accessible to any car. Paved road up to 1mile before the beach. The nearest town is Potrero, located also 1-mile away from the property, it is a beautiful small safe Guanacaste town with grocery shops, restaurants, cantinas, and1 a little church.

No shortage of good restaurant options in the area, with Flamingo and Catalinas only within a 10-minute drive. Other amazing beaches in the area include Conchal, Prieta, Sugar beach or Danta. All quiet white-sand paradises to connect with nature.

No COVID cases reported in the area, however, all cleaning measures are reinforced to ensure our guests are safe and happy.

A true jem!
We weren’t really sure what to expect, when we arrived it was more than we were expecting! Dinga and Omar were always so helpful. The grounds are well maintained and the apartment is steps from the beach. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves some days. It was a little tricky to find the first day as Waze couldn’t recognize it but we found it off the map from the website. We will absolutely be back! Pura Vida!

Paradise on Playa Penca
We loved every minute of our stay. We had the beach nearly to ourselves and the sunsets were incredible. It was a short walk to a few nearby (and delicious) restaurants. We also walked into Surfside a few times - maybe a 25 min walk.Digna was very friendly and quickly responded to any questions. The room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfect. We hope to return on our next trip to Costa Rica.

Little Blue House
Walk out the sliding glass door and onto the beach. Wake up and fall asleep with the sound of the ocean. Perfect set up for a single person or couple. Basically a good sized room with a large king bed, small table and kitchen corner plus a bathroom. We stayed a week here and absolutely loved it. So peaceful. 5-10 minute walking distance to anything you need. Groceries, food, ice cream. Host was amazing

Unbelievable location
We absolutely loved our stay, the location we hands down the best I have ever experienced. We arrived after dark in the middle of a rain storm which made finding the property a bit challenging but luckily the caretaker was super responsive and quickly helped. The location is within walking distance of several good resturants which was great too. Honestly my only complaint and it really pretty minor is that the hot water was a bit lacking when it came time to take a shower. Otherwise we had a flawless stay, despite the rainy weather.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue House. It is small, but had every thing we needed and It sits on a beautiful and quiet beach. Surrounding area is very friendly. We shopped at the nearby markets and ate at nearby sodas. Our hosts were wonderful. Digna and her husband were warm and welcoming. We felt very comfortable.

Pros - Beach was only steps away, wonderful. attentive housekeeper, Cons - road to house was ridiculously bad, a load of gravel is sorely needed. You have to have a 4x4 to navigate it. Power went out a couple of nights and water pressure in shower was very weak.

Very private feeling tucked away little spot on the beach. This beach was never overly busy and sometimes we had it all to ourselves! Sandy and clean. This is not located in a tourist hub, but a local neighborhood. Be advised the road in is rough and you will want a high clearance vehicle.

Right on the Beach
I have never have stayed right on the beach. With this vrbo, we did. Omar, the caretaker, was awesome. If we had any concerns, he was there to help us. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. It was also a nice touch to have a mini-tent set up to keep us in the shade. This came in handy with Costa Rican hot sun. Would definitely return.

Exactly as shown. Absolute beautiful & right on the ocean. If you are looking for some place very quiet this is it. Easy to walk to a few local restaurants & vendor that sells fresh fruits & veggies. Need a car or take Ubers to get anywhere else so if you are looking for somewhere with a lot going on this probably isn’t the place for you.

We LOVED our stay at Cabina Azul!! We were in awe by how beautiful and private this little gem was. The white sandy beach is literally steps away from your door. Watching the sunset on the beach with a glass of wine was truly amazing! The studio was spotless and had all the amenities we needed, and a brand new BBQ. Beachfront Gem
If you are looking for relaxing time on the beach, with an amazing sunset view in the evening, this property will not disappoint. The surf is sandy and great for swimming! The beach is quite private, there are visitors for swimming and sunset viewing, but it never felt crowded in the least. So nice for morning walks too. There are restaurants that are walkable, and if you have a car, some more great ones just a short drive away. We had a relaxing stay. Digna and Omar, the caretakers, were very kind and accomadating! Thank you!!
