'Picture perfect the photos dont do it justice. All staff including security were very friendly. Highly recommend '

'Had a fantastic time. Reception manned 24hrs and all the staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious, different every day including local dishes. Room was nice and cool, had a fridge to keep drinks cold and kettle to make tea or coffee. TV had a choice of channels. Room cleaned daily. Had a patio to sit outside with chairs and table. Also could sit by or swim in pool.'

'At the restaurant are a lot of cats, it doesn’t matter if you come for breakfast, lunch or diner. The cats coming to your table and wait for people to feed them. When you walk away from the table, the cats jumping on the table and eating the food. '

'My partner and I stayed here two nights and the staff were lovely. The pool is great and clean. The property needs a bit of a spruce up and the room we were in could do with a new bed. Other than that, we loved our stay and the food and beverages were delicious.'

'The staff were very friendly and accommodating; the breakfast was good - everything from toast and eggs to cerral and fruit. The room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps the pool could use a little upgrading (broken tiles, cleaning around the tiles), but the pool water was clean for swimming. '

'To be clear: * There's no ensuites in the fales. Bathroom is a shared block. * There's no soaps, shampoo etc * There's no hot water. (Given the temps of Samoa many places don't have hot water. 'The Lava Hotel is lovely place to stay. The Staff is welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious. There is live entertainment on certain days. The location is in a village which gives the atmosphere you would want when trying to be absorbed in the Samoan culture. From the island’s warm breeze to its beautiful surroundings, you would be transported to tranquility. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking for authenticity. '

'Perfect and relaxing stay. The 1 bedroom beachfront room was comfortable and roomy. Good sun loungers in front of our room and a beautiful lagoon to swim and snorkel in. Saw turtles on two occasions while snorkelling. Meals at the restaurant were great as were the cocktails. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again.'
