'Love the hotel, could not have a better location of viewing Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. Beautiful architecture. Fabulous rooms and amenities. HOWEVER, my husband and I were very disappointed, slightly shocked, that we could not be seated for dinner when checking in at 630pm. 'Hoshinoya Fuji is just so beautiful and serene. We stayed for two nights and had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our long trip to Japan. Service was very quick and gracious, always there to book a cab for us (no uber in this area) or bring us an in-room curry at the last minute. Donald hooked us up with amazing recommendations for hiking Mt Fuji and Aokigahara Forest. The breakfast and dinner prepared by the hotel were plentiful and delicious. 'We were very lucky to have two beautiful days/nights near Mt. Fuji on Lake Yamanaka. We couldn't go on the lake since there was a high wind advisory. It was very convenient that the hot springs bath was in the hotel. We had the brrakfast the last morning and it was wonderful.'
