'My partner and I came to visit Alnwick for her birthday, and after a previous stay at a Premier Inn, we decided we wanted something with more character. The Hog’s Head Inn is a really lovely hotel, and considering it broke ground in 2011, has a feeling of being built in the 1800s, with the wood and stone decor in the main bar area. 'We had a lovely 2 night stay in a beautiful room (Ford, room 2). The room was immaculately clean and very tastefully designed. The hotel throughout was clean and staff very polite and friendly. There was a lot of choice for breakfast and the food was served fresh and delicious. We ate an evening meal during our stay and were again spoiled for choice. The meal we chose was also delicious and the dessert was amazing too. '

'The property is certainly quirky, and not quite what we expected, but not in a bad way, just different. Food was excellent, and the portions are ginormous. staff are all lovely, and wonderful to talk to. Absolutely love the local accent, could listen for hours. No complaints at all.'
