'We never got a true confirmation or check in information for this property. When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). We eventually was reimbursed but we had to scramble to find a new place late a night on our own.'

'Just as described, maybe better. Secluded and private while renaming close to the center and lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants. Communication with host was consistent and recommendations provided were all stellar. I would absolutely return. '

'Overall property was clean and as advertised with a beautiful fruit basket and jug of cold water awaiting our arrival. A couple of downfalls - not enough hot water for 5 people to take showers and there was no key for the rooftop patio door and some of the ground floor windows wouldn’t lock properly. Other improvements that could be made to the complex in general is some kind of lighting at the pedestrian entrance at the street as well as lighting in the parking area even if the lights were...

Heeerlijk!

"Heeeerlijk! Prachtig hotel aan het meer, omringd door groen landschap. Pure rust. Super vriendelijk personeel en de kamers zijn super mooi. Gelegen net buiten het drukkere centrum wat ook perfect is. Slechts 5’ met auto. Gratis paddle boards ook ter beschikking."

This hotel is a gem!

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel Carolina Bacalar. We could not have wished for a more beautiful hotel in a beautiful place like Bacalar. Both the lake and the hotel , wich is directly on the lake shore, are worth the trip south. The pictures of Hotel Carolina Bacalar exeed the expectations. The bearkfast options, food drinks and service are great too. The pool might come across a bit small but the lake fully compensates for this. We only spend 2 nights in Bacalar, I wish we would have stayed a day or two longer in Bacalar and Hotel Carolina. The only point of attation we have is the showerhead."
