'We absolutely loved the cozy cabin! Super clean, well appointed, very nice appliances, very comfortable furniture. Lots of privacy - but close to Crystal Mountain (I had spa appointments), Arcadia Bluffs (Don golfed) and we enjoyed an interesting meal at the Iron Fish - even though we only drink beer and wine which they don't have - the food was great and if you like whiskey and bourbon - that's the place for you! 'My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We weren’t able to enjoy the exterior with the heavy snow, but the inside was super cozy. We were plenty warm. An easy distance from Crystal Mountain Resort, and not too far from other towns if you are looking for restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. The owners were also super responsive. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.'

'Our group of 11 (2 adults, kids ages 5-13) enjoyed two nights in this home. The layout was great for two families and the host had excellent communication. Our older kids were able to walk to/from the Buck lift, though we typically drove as the walk is a little long carrying gear. We would stay here again! '

'This cabin was the perfect getaway! Shocking amount of stuff to do just minutes away. Clean and cozy. Hot tub and bonfire pit offered such a relaxing end to the evening. Thompsonville has great dining too. We visited iron fish distillery for a tasting and a snack. The food was AMAZING. We also explored crystal mountain to dine for dinner as well as took the 10 minute drive to Benzonia to shop and check out the new casino '

'Host was responsive, gave personal advice based on the group in the area. Place was clean and well-kept, perfect for our weekend getaway and group skiing at Crystal Mountain.'

'We could not be happier with our stay. Shawn was a great communicator, even offering early check in and checking on us by message to ensure we had everything we needed. There was not a single detail missing in this home. It was PERFECT! We will be returning and now i MUST build my own tiny house. '

'We enjoyed the property it has plenty of room for me and my friends. The river had salmon hanging out at the dock and that's would I was there to do fish for salmon so it was nice to go right out to the dock to fish.'

'Our family group of 10 stayed in the Northern Nest for a trip skiing at Crystal Mountain, which is about 12 minutes away. The home is very nice and well laid out for our group size. Nestled into the woods beside the Betsie River, this place is a 10/10! The owner is very quick communicating and was great to work with as well! We will be back this summer to do some kayaking!'

'We really enjoyed stayinf here! The walk to the slopes waa not terrible but also not something i would want to do with kids. The shuttle service was very prompt though!'

'Our family had a good stay on the property. We enjoyed the woodstove and the hot tube.'

'The cabin is quaint and quiet. It does have a small view of the lake although we stayed in the winter so not able to review how the dock or any outside amenities are. Cabin temperature was ok for it's age and being in the north. We did not stay in the upstairs rooms but when we checked on them they were only a little bit cold, not bad. 'I liked this place. Has that old-school, “up north”, Michigan cabin vibe. Exactly what I was looking for. Nice and clean. Management was very responsive. There are plastic bags, or barriers, on all of the mattresses. I guess that’s hygienic? It doesn’t make for a comfortable night’s sleep, however. '

'The cabin was exactly what we were looking for- rustic, recreational things to do, located on a great piece of property, and very close to Crystal Mountain. It was very clean upon check in (hand towels in the bathrooms would have been appreciated) and had plenty of room for our group of ten to hang out together.
