'The owner was extremely kind and helpful and he was interested in the countries the guests were from. The room was clean and well-kept, the beds comfortable , the decor rustic and authentic. The breakfast was limited (eg no bagels or bread) but a muffin or muesli-bar and a good cup of coffee from the lobby were enough to get started.'

'Perfect place to explore Lake Placid and or ski at Whiteface. Rooms were beautiful and the beds were amazing. Only tough thing is parking around the building but we were always able to get a spot and with the space available it is the best it can get. We will definitely be returning here on future trips. '

'Quaint little motel 5 mins from Whiteface mountain. Very friendly and responsive staff. Room was clean, warm, quiet, and very affordable. Perfect place to stay while skiing or mountain biking in the area.'

'Great breakfast with a fresh fruit salad! Very nicely refurbished rooms to mid-century style. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking, but still verry comfortable. Public area with a nice fire place. All in all a very nice motel!'

'Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain! '

'Rustic and homey as I would imagine a quaint ski motel. Decorated with beautiful pieces of art by local artists. Loved Beck's Tavern constructed of Yurts out back, with live music. And Beck's Tavern serves delicious German cuisine.'
