'Cosy Double room was clean though not totally spotless. Comfy bed. Great sea view. Reasonable price, comparable to smaller hotels. Good health spa with saunas, indoor pool (outdoor pool was closed), a good steam room, and a small spa pool - the spa pool could do with updating to contemporary style. Reasonably priced hotel bar, slightly cheaper than the local bars. A major highlight of the room was the complimentary real coffee, teas and two bottles of fresh mineral water, renewed every day. 'Nice modern hotel.Breakfast was just ok.Not the normal expectations we normally expect from a Mercure Hotel.Left room after breakfast.Got back around 3pm and the room was still not made.However reported it and was made at around 3.30pm.Not the normal service we expect.'

Een binnenzwembad en een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad

'Mooi authentiek hotel. Van buiten prachtig om te zien. Van binnen iets gedateerd maar wel goed. Personeel vriendelijk. Niet goed te doen als je wat slechter te been bent door de vele trapjes en opstapjes. Het licht op loopafstand van het centrum en toch in een heel rustige omgeving. De route is echter wel via een lange steile weg. We hadden een “standaard kamer” en vonden die wel aan de kleine kant. Hotel is niet toegestaan voor kinderen. '

'Booked a single night. All the staff at the beach Club were very willing and friendly. The condition of our room was excellent. The bed exceptionally comfortable. Excellent shower. We used the spa facilities, which were not very busy except for the family swim period between 4 and 6pm (but it was during school, holidays). We would recommend the included continental breakfast. There was lots of choice and quality of the food was excellent.'

'The hotel is a bit dated and we found our room a bit cramped, especially the w.c./ shower room which was not big enough to shower and dry yourself in, meaning you had to shower and then go into the bedroom to dry yourself. There was quite a lot of noise from other people walking about their rooms and flushing the toilet; not really a problem during the day but it is at 6.30 in the morning when you are still trying to sleep. 'Buitenzijde is prachtig, maar binnen is sterk aan renovatie toe, wij kregen een kleine kamer aan de achterzijde. Het zou prettig zijn om bij het boeken ook een foto van de kamer te hebben die je daadwerkelijk krijgt. De plaatjes waren prachtig, maar resultaat valt in praktijk tegen daardoor'

'Great hotel. Top tip - follow the hotel’s instructions on driving to the hotel. We followed our satnav / GPS and ended up in “the lanes” which are scary narrow roads. The walks from the hotel are stunning along the coastline. Dinner a bit pricey. '

'The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super dog friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. '

'We was greeted by the owners and treated like royalty.. our rooms where very clean and comfortable.. would highly recommend it has we will definitely be staying there again and it’s worth the price which includes car parking where other charge £9.50 per night … congratulations to the owners for making our stay so memorable and everything else.'

'Had a fantastic stay for a couple nights. Nothing was to much trouble and the rooms were so clean and tidy with some lovely little touches. When we arrived a little early it was no trouble at all and was made so welcome. Would definitely recommend staying as we would stay again. '
