'A lovely and atmospheric property. We were upgraded to a large room with a terrace and a sea view which was appreciated.The room was extremely comfortable with a complimentary mini bar. We loved the roof terrace with its great view over the fort and the sea. Although there is no pool, a small, safe beach is just steps away with beach towels provided by the hotel.'

'En liten skjult perle i Weligama. Servicen var upåklagelig og maten fantastisk. Hele stedet hadde en veldig avslappet atmosfære. Et hyggelig miljø hvor det var lett å komme i kontakt med andre eller være alene om en ønsket det. Rommet var nydelig og det var stille og rolig hele tiden. Vil gjerne komme tilbake.'

'Villa White Queen is, zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, een prachtige, grote villa, met dito tuin. Wat we als storend hebben ervaren is de gebrekkige communicatie met het onwennige personeel, een groepje jonge knapen. Slechts een enkeling sprak verstaanbaar Engels. Verder hadden de grote kamers gebrekkige verlichting, geen koelkastje en geen koffie- en theefaciliteiten. '

'The hotel was excellent. Just a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area, quiet, quality food and the staff were amazing. We were well looked after but left to relax as well. They are currently building new rooms so it was a bit loud when using the pool during the day but this is only temporary so I would highly recommend staying here. The pool is stunning as well.'

'We had a good time at DCanal. The property is nicely decorated, is very clean and has a lovely pool and garden. To say the staff were great would be an understatement. They were very friendly and always checking if we needed anything. The buffet breakfast was lovely and freshly prepared every morning. My only critique of this property is it is a 15min walk to the town & beach but they do provide a free tuk tuk service from 10am to 7 pm. The beach bar pictures shown here are not on this...

'Really nice and clean room but everything else where terrible, dirty and very old. The staff was laying in the few chairs and there were no place else to sit, not even in the small garden. We wantet a quiet vaccation but it was noicy from the mainstreet in front. We decided to leave again after 2 nights even we already paid for more.'

'Sea World Boutique is a FANTASTIC hotel - we loved our stay there. The hotel itself is stunning (the pictures don't even do the beauty of the location justice!) but more than that, the staff are wonderfully welcoming, so friendly and it was a difficult day when we had to leave! 'Nice small hotel close to the beach, town and bars etc. Nice pool and bar area and food is good (we had to pay extra for breakfast). Ideal for a short break, the hotel arranged turtle swimming for us and can organise many other trips, also Spa on site. We had travelled from Tissa and first impressions here was that Marissa was very touristy and the route to the “secret beach” is a rubbish strewn dirt track, however once we settled in, we enjoyed the area.'
